Good to know
What is the difference between markup and margin?
Markup is added on top of a cost (a $100 part with 20% markup sells for $120). Margin is the share of the final price that is profit (a $120 sale with $100 cost is a 16.7% margin).
What is overhead?
The cost of running the business that is not tied to one job — vehicles, insurance, office, phone, software. Adding it as a percent of labor makes every job pay its share.
Can WrenCrew do this on every job?
Yes. Job costing adds the hours your crew logs and the materials and expenses on the job, and shows the profit next to the price.
